The Agnes Reynolds Jackson Fund (Aggie Fund) was founded in 1992 with the purpose of helping patients at Toledo’s Center for Choice afford their abortion care. For many years, the Aggie Fund provided funding exclusively through Toledo’s clinics. Recognizing that restrictions to abortion access and new TRAP laws increasingly made access to care difficult, the Aggie Fund expanded to work with clinics in Michigan, signing its first MOU with a Detroit clinic in 2019. Today, the Aggie Fund has agreements with one clinic in Toledo and three clinics in the Detroit area, and works with clinics across the country to help folks needing to travel for their care.

As abortion access becomes more difficult to navigate, the Aggie Fund has also stepped up its efforts to increase fundraising and awareness, raising more and helping more patients year after year. More recently, community support and donations received through Aggie’s membership in the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) significantly increased for a period surrounding the Dobbs decision in 2022. This influx of funds allowed the Aggie Fund to help offset the increased costs and travel associated with receiving care for patients navigating a new abortion landscape, and in the process help many more people.

The fund is beyond happy that abortion and reproductive rights are now part of Ohio’s constitution, but many people still experience financial and logistical barriers to accessing care. With your support, we can continue to fund more patients every year. As an all-volunteer, community-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your generous donation directly helps people in Ohio and Michigan access their right to an abortion.
